St. Louis is a small city whose sports history is legendary, particularly thanks to the St. Louis Cardinals, the original Gashouse Gang. 

Time after time, the St. Louis Cardinals win World Series, led by everyone from Bob Gibson to Albert Pujols.  Many cities go half a century without a World Series, but it seems like once a decade, like it or not, the Cardinals win at least one World Series. 

Busch Stadium with that iconic arch in the background is a marvelous setting, and thanks to the Budweiser gang, the city will always have good baseball. 

I remember seeing a St. Louis Blues game with my son.  It was Wayne Gretzky’s first home game after being traded to the St. Louis Blues, and a friend of mine knew the scoreboard operator, who used the scoreboard to welcome my son. Gretzky was his favorite player, and combined with a trip up the arch, it was a great experience.  Brett Hull graced the ice for so many years there, but things have been a little slow since then.

Remember when Ms. Frontiere moved the Los Angeles Rams to St. Louis?  Can you believe that an NFL team could do better financially in St. Louis than in Los Angeles?  Well, she was proven right.  They built a beautiful indoor stadium (with real grass thankfully) and Kurt Warner brought them two Super Bowls.  Now after a bit of backsliding, they have Sam Bradford and an impressive coaching crew.  While much of their recent success has to do with the poor quality of the NFC West Division, we can expect good things from them in the future.
